NMS students—

I am forwarding below information on two opportunities for WRD and NMS graduate students—a session on the development of academic conference proposals on April 28 from 6:30-8:00 in McGaw 314, and the WRD Graduate Student Conference (for MA in WRD and MA in NMS students); the deadline for proposals in 5/1/10 and the conference is on May 15th. Whether you are interested in attending an academic conference yourself or not, this is a great opportunity to meet and mix with students in your own program and in the MA in WRD, and to meet and talk with faculty who teach in both programs.

Please note, the "development of academic conference proposals" session occurs during class hours. I have indicated that we would be interested in attending. It clearly would take up the entire class time. If you prefer, we can hold class using a video conference (at another time) or simply via distributed materials. Lets discuss this on Wed including the possible changes to our submission schedule in lieu of this session.
